Field hockey, the fastest
growing game in Oakland County, has arrived at
Oakland Yard Summer Camps! This cross between
soccer and hockey, which is played with a solid
plastic ball and a curved wooden stick is a fast
paced game suited for both boys and girls.
Along with an introduction to the use of equipment,
rules, and etiquette of the game, campers will
be issued full equipment on the first day of camp
for use throughout the week. This camp is the
perfect opportunity for a camper with little or
no experience to try out the game without risk
to mom or dad's pocketbooks.
Campers will learn the
ins and outs of the game on synthetic turf, the
installation of this field couldn't have been
better timed.
Kelly Sadowski, our indoor league director and
Marian High School Varsity Head Coach will be
directing this new coed camp.
Boys and girls, ages 7 to 12
are welcome.
Class size limited to 28 campers.
