Everybody loves a good
mystery. Campers will spend the week learning
forensic science skills and unraveling the mysteries
set before them. Campers will learn fingerprinting,
footprinting, tire tracking, as well as bite mark,
handwriting and ink analysis, collection and identification
of trace evidence, analysis of splatter and contact
stains, and entomology/bug identification.
Each child will take home with them at week’s
end their very own crime investigation kit, which
will include fingerprinting cards, fingerprinting
powder, and lifting tape as well as other forensic
science tools. Midweek, camp will take a field
trip to the City of Pontiac Police Department
Crime Lab and see first hand what is involved
in fighting crime and solving mysteries.
Children must be ages 8 to 13
years old to participate in this camp. Seven camper
enrollments are needed for this camp to run, camp
is limited to 12 campers.
These campers dust for finger prints in order
to locate the suspect!
