Campers will be building
and launching rockets all week! Rocketeers will
individually assemble their own rockets, including
ESTES rockets throughout the week. Campers will
have to make landing estimates while taking into
consideration wind speed, wind direction, and
engine velocity. This camp is of course for fun,
but hopefully children will learn a little about
weather and how it affects the launch and landing,
about the National Air and Space Administration
(NASA), past APOLLO missions and the FAA.
Campers will take home all rockets that they build
and launch including the ever popular Estes air-powered
rocket which shoots over 250 feet. Camp fee includes
lunch and materials. This camp is open to boys
and girls, ages 7 to 13.
Enrollment is limited to 18 campers per session.
Campers make their own rockets throughout the
week and then set them off after completion!
