Parents, do you remember
all of those cool science experiments you did
back when you were a kid? Campers can build, demolish,
invent and experiment through a variety of projects
including the construction and ignition of a volcano,
catapult launches, construction and racing of
solar cars, and the ever popular egg drop contest.
Each day campers will have fun in small groups
exploring a variety of activites. Campers will
launch small bean bags and marbles up to 25ft.
accurately from small trebuchets(15”x20”
in length) and launch watermelons and cantaloupes
from our larger than life trebuchet. They will
design a containment device to protect an egg
from breaking when dropped from 20ft, construct
and erupt a volcano, build and race solar cars,
and examine butterfly wings and hair fibers under
a microscope. In addition, camper will conduct
several other experiments as time permits.
Entrance to the camp is limited to the first 12
boys or girls ages 8 to 13. All
materials are provided. Campers will
get to keep their solar cars at the conclusion
of the week.
