Does your child dream of being the next Kelly Clarkson or Clay Aiken? Oakland Yard has teamed up with Mark Edwards in the creation and running of this camp. Mark is a charted artist on the Billboard Chart with 4 top 30 singles as well as a past performer on Star Search. He has worked with artist such as Billy Joel and Celine Dion in record promotions as well. He is currently a working songwriter and screen play writer.

This camp is your child's chance to experience a moment in the spotlight. From singing to songwriting to performing on stage, campers will learn what is takes to make it in the music business. The secrets of the entertainment world will be unveiled in this weeklong camp. Campers will spend time learning the ins and outs of the business through the course of the week. Singing, playing an instrument, songwriting, promotions, and sound equipment will all be explored and practiced. Campers will have the opportunity to write their own songs, run a soundboard, mix live music and learn how a record becomes a hit. The later half of the week will be spent fine tuning their performance and behind the scenes jobs through a dress rehearsal in preparation for their Star Camper performance on Friday. All parents and campers are invited to attend this LIVE performance.

Campers will also get to take a trip to meet the crew from the popular Mojo in the Morning Show from WKQI 95.5 at the Clear Channel Communications Studio in Farmington Hills. Campers will get to see behind scenes as well as meet the personalities of the show.

Camp is limited to 12 campers, age 8 to 14 years old. A minimum of 8 campers is needed for this camp to run.
