In the event of rain, Oakland Yard campers will
participate in an indoor field day. Rain days are
incredibly hectic due to the fact that we have all
of the campers from all camps inside the dome, basically
cutting the space that they normally have to roam
into 1/3. Although campers will be welcome to stay
for the day when it rains, they will be asked to
participate in activities other than the camp they
have registered for. There will be a variety of
activities offered throughout the morning such as
capture the flag, kick ball, soccer, and football
to name a few.
We understand that many parents rely on Oakland
Yard Camps to care for their children while they
are at work. Please be assured that we will never
turn your child away on a rainy day. We just ask
that you are aware that your child’s day will
generally not revolve around the activities that
they have enrolled for. That is, if they have enrolled
for golf for the week, they will not be golfing
on the rain day. Camps that generally do go about
their business on rain days are Sports & Games,
Arts & Crafts, Soccer, Hip Hop and Cheerleading.
There will be no make up days offered if a rain
day should occur, except where noted. |
