This type of fishing has been referred to as ‘hunting fish’ with
your brain first, and luck second. Like our three day RC Boat
camp, the Fly Fishing camp will run the three days after the 4th
of July only. Target casting using different line weights, reeling
under tension, and knot tying will be stressed.

It will be our interest to get these first time flyer fishermen on
the river with they’re parents or grandparents successfully this
summer. If campers have their own fly equipment they are
welcome to bring their own, otherwise they will be provided a
beginner fly rod and reel to use for the three-day course.

This camp is open to
boys and girls ages 9 – 14.

Space is limited to 12 campers per session.

Due to the unavailability of local quality fly-fishing rivers, this
camp will begin the teaching process for proper casting and fly
making on land only.
