Last Week Current
1 1 Banana Hammocks - Familiar faces and steady play keep them on top another week. Early season showdown next week looms large.
3 2 Avenue Bar - Off to a great start but we'll see what they're made of after their battle with #1 Banana Hammocks.
2 3 Pineapple Express - Their explosive start turned out to be just a smelly SBD as they stunk up the place this week. Cool new jerseys though.
4 4 Bad Boys - Can't compete with the big boys with 1/2 the team taking the week off. They won't win back the Bad Ass Pineapple Trophy this way
5 5 Benny & The Jets - Speed kills, or at least it got the Banana Hammocks attention. These jets will surprise you.
7 6 TD My Pants - Nice recovery after a week #1 disaster but can they shoot down Benny & the Jets next week?
6 7 Cafe Muse - Low numbers last week had Tony's team looking like the Bad "Muse" Bears. A few more bodies will fix that.

Player of the Week
Paul Maxwell - Center/Rusher, Avenue Bar

Paul Maxwell was a dominating force on both sides of the ball in Avenue Bar's double-header wins Monday night over Pineapple Express 34-0 and Bad Boys 38-6. On offense, his multiple catches, kept the offense rolling and his 2 TD grabs helped light up the scoreboard. Defensively, his non-stop pressure and uncanny ability to snatch flags just kills offenses and only an intentional holding penalty prevented him from taking an intercepted screen pass to the house. Grabbing his jersey and holding on may be the only way to stop one of Oakland Yard's top players.
